Head for the Hills and DalesSummer Sunday bus services have been running for a few years now, but 2012 sees an additional service that should appeal to residents north of York on the A19 corridor.
The 812 Fountains Flyer starts from Easingwold at 08:50 on Sundays and Bank Holidays up to October 21st. The service is operated by Stephensons of Easingwold and runs via the city to Grassington. It will pick up passengers at all stops inbound, calling also at Theatre Royal and the Railway Station. The route is then by A59 to Green Hammerton, Boroughbridge and Ripon where connection can be made for Masham, Leyburn and Aysgarth Falls. Onwards then to Fountains Abbey, Pateley Bridge and Stunp Cross Caverns. At Pateley there is a connection to upper Nidderdale for How Stean Gorge and the Scar House reservoir.
