Update on dog walking on the recreation ground
Thank you for attending the meeting of Rawcliffe Parish Council; voicing your ideas and concerns in relation to issue of dog fouling and suggestions as to ways to improve the area for all. Your suggestions where further discussed later in the meeting and it was agreed that the starting point for change would be: More dog waste bins at strategic sites around the Recreation ground: - Staindale Close entrance/exit - Bridge over the beck to the rear of rec. ground - Exit at Manor Lane - Exit at Boothwood Road snicket These are the initial sites for approval – please forward any further suggestions, to me As soon as possible. ‘Community’ orientated signage; encouraging users to take pride in the area; we are presently looking at such phrases [badges could be worn by those who wish to promote the same message]: - ‘This is Your Recreation Ground – Please leave as you found it; Clean and Tidy!’ - Take Pride in Your Recreation Ground! Please leave the area free from litter and dog waste - ‘Use it! Don’t abuse it! These are initial ideas – we welcome your suggestions! Strategically placed maps of the area –illustrating siting of dog waste and litter bins on the site. Nicola Moorcroft (Clerk to Rawcliffe Parish Council) VandalismThere's been a few cases of vandalism in the parish recently, if you see anything please do let us know. We'd like to keep a track of any incidents so we can keep the police informed.
